When my father and older brother would run a trap line, you better believe I was there taking in and learning as much as I could. See, I grew up in the outdoors and spent too much time chasing steelhead and trout in our local creeks. I learned a great deal from my brothers, but it was my father who taught his sons everything they needed to know about hunting and fishing. I am thankful to him for that knowledge, and to my mother for purchasing the countless items to support a hunter’s way of life, and family tradition.

I grew up in a small town where from a young age hunting became the “everything” of my life. From the time I learned to shoot, at age three, my father and I spent our quality time hunting. I owe a great deal to him for taking me out no matter what the season, climate, or conditions.  Those moments created the passion I now have for hunting, and as I think more about those times in my life, I am unable to count how many moments I had said to myself, “If only I could hunt for a living, and raise my children the way my father raised me.”

My name is Jonathon Johnson and Ive been hunting since I was 5 years old. When I was younger I spent my summers catching crawfish and minnows in the creek on my families farm. When it came time for deer season I would always watch as a crew consisting of my family and closest friends dress up and head to the woods.
